Four of us from Pudugramam left for Sringeri by train on July 11, 2008 by West Coast express.

We reached Sringeri in the early hours of saturday morning July 12, 2008 and got accommodation in one of their tourist resthouses .

After bath we went for Darshan of H.H Bharati Theerth Mahaswamy. You have to cross Thunga river by a foot bridge and reach Guru Nivas where a palacial hall is built for interveiw. Sharadamba Chandranouliswara puja is also conducted on the podium inside the hall.

There is a long line of visitors to have Darshan of H.H.to ventilate their problems, new proposals or functions in the family.When our turn came, I said that I had Dharsan of H.H. In Chamrajnagar along with Sri.C.G.Venkataraman, Coimbatore.He asked me to wait till the interview of others are over.

We went to him after everyone had finished and I said that Sri.Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamy visited Kollengode some 80 years ago and was camping in Raja's Palace. He sent word that H.H.would like to visit Pudugramam. But none of the elders at that time took interest of inviting him. This apacharam of not inviting yatis was reflected in the two Devaprasna held at the time of Kumbhishekam. I told H.H. that we have come to do prayaschitham because the village has been going down day by day in prosperity and welfare.

The second point was that Sri.Padmanabha Sarma who conducted Devaprasna in Guruvayoor, was also asked about the affairs of Sri.Viswanatha Swamy temple.He said that Sri.Vishalakshy is a powerful deity and that a separate Dwajastampam should be established in front of her sannidi. I asked Mahaswamy whether two Dwajastampam can be established in a temple.He said it can be done and you can have one for Sri.Viswanatha Swamy and one for Sri.Visalakshy.

Our desire for Koti Archana for Siva and Ambal was expressed to him. He said Koti is only a two-letter word but the work involved is enormous. What is the Mantra we should take for Archana ? He said only Lalitha Sahasranamam for Ambal and Siva sahasranamam for Siva and nothing else.

Finally H.H.came to the the first point we had raised.He said Sri.Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamy came to Kollengode in the year 1927 and was camping in Kollengode Raja's Palace.Since this apacharam was done during his period, the villagers of Pudugramam should collectively contribute for the Aaradhana which falls on Amavasya day before Navaratri. He asked me to contact the Manager of the Mutt as to how to operationalize this scheme.

We contacted the Manager and Adminisrative Officer of the Mutt Sri.Balaji. He said we should create a corpus fund which will be managed by the Mutt.From the interest receipts from this corpus fund, contribution for the Aaradhana will be made every year. He gave me the form to be filled which has to be sent to the office,along with the cheque, specifying that the the interst receipts alone to be used for the Aaradhana and the corpus fund should remain for ever.

We had food in the dining hall contributed by Sri.Vijaya Mallaya for Rs.7.5 crores where thousand people can be served food at the same time.

We left for Udupi where we had Darshan of Lord Krishna. Then back to Kollengode.

We should now collect a sum for the corpus fund from all the villagers, irrespective of the amount they contribute, because the involvement of everyone is most important.
