Mahaswamy of Sringeri

To continue the episode about the Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamy,
I wish record an incident which happened about middle of December, 2008

My close relative is a regular visitor to Sringeri to have Darshan of
Mahaswamy Sri Bharti Theerth Mahaswamy. She was in Sringeri about 20th
December and was standing in the queue to have dharsan of His Holiness
with plate full of fruits etc. Being an old lady she could not keep it
for long.So a gentleman who was standing behind her, volunteered to
keep the plate till she takes her turn.

After the interview was over, this gentleman who had come with his
brother came to my relative to get acquainted.

During the conversation, he said he is alive now only because of the
grace of Mahaswamy.He and his brother are constuction engineers of
repute and they come from Mumbai.They were trapped inside a room
during the terror attack in Mumbai and spent more than 24 hours
without food or water and fear about their safely and life. They
prayed Mahaswamy to rescue them.That was the only hope they had at
that time.

Now he has undertaken some constuction work for the Math. He wants to
come to Sringeri as frequently as possible.

Koti Archana for Sri.Vishalakshy Ambal

1. I had mentioned about Koti Archana (10,000 times Sahasranamam) to Vishalakshy Ambal.
That project was shelved because of shortage of learned persons to chant the Lalitha Sahasranamam.

2. Now the blue-print is ready and I have sufficient number of persons to chant the Sahasranama clearly and without mistake. I propose to take the services of boys studying in Veda Patasala

3. Koti Archana will be devided into 100 laksharchana and each laksharchana will form one Unit.
One person will head One Unit (1 laksarchana) and he will sponsor 100 persons so that the collection is between Rs.10,000 to 12,000.(This has not been worked out precisely as of now).

4. Not less than 10 boys will chant 5 times a day for 2 days.So, in 2 days one laksharchana will be completed. They will chant between 9am to 11.30pm and 2.30pm to 5.30pm for 2 days after morning puja and before evening puja in the temple.

5. The teacher who teaches them in Veda patam will also be part of the group.He will teach Veda patam when the boys are not chanting Sahasranamam.So, there will not be any break in their studies for Veda Patam.

6. Boarding,lodging and transport (from Patasala to Pudugramam and back) will be will be provided to those who chant the mantras.

7. This will commence when 10 Laksharchan are sponsored, to begin with. Sankalpam of all those who have sponsored for a Laksharchana will be made at the beginning.
